Scan research papers containing special symbols with the program containing algorithms for recognition of scientific written materials including mathematical formulae. The app supports such formats as LaTeX, MathML, XHTML, HRTeX, IML and Microsoft Word. PDF conversion is also possible.

InftyReader is an OCR software to recognize scientific documents including mathematical formulae, and to output the recognition results into various file formats: LaTeX, MathML, XHTML, HRTeX, IML and Microsoft Word document. It can convert PDF files into LaTeX or XHTML (MathML) including mathematical expressions.

1．The process often fails. Sometimes it fails even if the number of pages is reduced. There is no response when I send a file and ask for a support. The support is terrible. Do not rely on them for important work.

2．In the case of English text, characters other than mathematical formulas are forcibly recognized as mathematical formulas, so the text is not correct.If problem 1 is solved, it may be useful as OCR for Japanese text. More
